Everything you need to know about using TrakLife
Length is the #1 factor. We require a minimum of 16 characters, but longer is better. Modern password cracking makes short passwords vulnerable regardless of complexity.
Research (including NIST guidelines) shows that forced complexity rules lead to predictable patterns like Password1! or Summer2025!. A long, memorable passphrase is far more secure than a short, complex password.
A passphrase is a password made of multiple words, often with some variation. They're easier to remember and harder to crack.
Good passphrase examples:

Yes, absolutely. Password managers let you use unique, truly random passwords for every site. You only need to remember one strong master password.
We recommend:
We check your password against Have I Been Pwned, a database of passwords exposed in data breaches. If your password has appeared in any known breach, we'll ask you to choose a different one.
Your password is safe with us: We use a technique called k-Anonymity. We never send your full password to the breach database - only a partial hash that reveals nothing about your actual password.
No. Periodic forced password changes are outdated advice. Only change your password if:
2FA adds a powerful extra layer of security. Even if someone gets your password, they can't log in without your second factor. We're working on adding 2FA support - stay tuned!
Never reuse passwords. If you use the same password on multiple sites and one gets breached, all your accounts are at risk. Use a password manager to generate unique passwords for every account.
Visit the registration page and enter your email and a strong password. Your account will be created immediately.
Yes! All TrakLife apps work with local storage. Your data stays on your device. Creating an account enables cloud sync to access your data across devices.
Contact us and we'll delete your account and all associated data. We're working on adding a self-service account deletion option.
When you're logged in, you'll see a "Sync to Cloud" button on each app. Click it to upload your local data to our servers. When you log in on another device, your data will be downloaded automatically.
TrakLife works fully offline. Your data is saved locally and will sync when you're back online.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit). We're working on adding end-to-end encryption for stored data.
We only store the data you explicitly enter into the apps: time entries, wins, and your change tracker start date. We don't track your browsing, sell your data, or show ads.
Yes! Each app has an export feature that lets you download your data as JSON. Your data is yours.
Your data is stored on our servers. If you don't create an account, everything stays in your browser's local storage on your device.
